Summary
In this paper Legal, et al. reveal the architecture of the yeast kinetochore 10-protein Dam1 complex. They show that the C termini of Dam1 and Duo1 are necessary and sufficient for binding of the Dam1 complex to microtubules, revealing the minimal requirements for a robust microtubule-kinetochore interface.
