Current research interests
Junette investigates the rhetorical construction of gentile Christian identity from Paul to Justin Martyr (Romans, Ephesians, Acts, 1 Peter, Epistle of Barnabas and Justin’s Dialogue with Trypho). She studies how diverse texts produced by the early Christ movement took on elements of Jewish identity and appropriated these in constructing their identity as Jesus followers.Past research interests
Junette's research interests include narrative identity and Christian origins, Paul and his writings, contextual theology (Philippines), and women in the New Testament.Affiliated research centres
