Background
I obtained my Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Classics at the University of Pisa. As an Erasmus Student, I also studied at the University of Tübingen (Germany) and, during my PhD, spent two months in Edinburgh as a visiting student. I obtained my Joint Doctoral Degree in Classics at the University of Macerata (Italy) and at the Université Paris-Sorbonne in 2020, writing a thesis on the manuscript tradition of Ammianus Marcellinus and the Renaissance reception of his work. I have given papers in Italy, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. From September 2024 I hold a Post-Doctoral position on the Last Historians of Rome project at the University of Edinburgh.
