Ameera Khan

Background

I am a visual artist, writer, educator and historian. My practice centres around the reinterpretation of narratives belonging to a time long gone. My medium of choice is mixed media composed of photographs, drawings, and digital manipulation. Often forming satirical connotations in my work, I use it to comment on the concepts of ‘orthodoxy’ and ‘tradition’ which are often embedded in one’s subconscious. I live and work in Lahore, Pakistan.
