Lots of events are taking place across the University to mark University Mental Health Day on 14 March this year.
Edinburgh University Sports Union panel event
On 14 March, Edinburgh University Sports Union are hosting a panel event in partnership with Heriot-Watt University and The Positive Mental Health Foundation, talking about the challenges and positive impact of student sport on student mental health.
Everyone is welcome, but you are asked to sign up if you would like to attend:

Free gym access weekend for University Mental Health Day
To mark University Mental Health Day, Sport & Exercise are offering free entry to students and staff at both the Pleasance and Easter Bush Gym.
- Pleasance Gym: free entry for University of Edinburgh students and staff from Thursday 14 March to Sunday 17 March 2024
- Easter Bush Gym: free entry for University of Edinburgh students and staff on Thursday 14 March and Friday 15 March 2024
Let's Talk Mental Health & Wellbeing
Edinburgh University Students’ Association are running a mental health campaign this semester called Let's Talk Mental Health & Wellbeing.
One of their goals with Let's Talk is to ensure that people who need further support with their mental health can access it.

The University of Edinburgh Sport’s Challenge 24
Unite with Sport and the whole University of Edinburgh community to take part in #Challenge24 to support young adult and student mental health and in aid of the Brit Challenge and SAMH Scotland.
You can get involved on 14 March for University Mental Health Day.
You could be active for 24 minutes, complete 24 exercises, be active at 24 minutes past the hour, be active with 24 friends, be active 24 times in one day, the possibilities are endless.

University Mental Health Day at Greyfriars
In connection with University Mental Health Day, the Samaritans have teamed up with the University of Edinburgh alongside Edinburgh Napier University and Nightline to run an event on 11 March at Greyfriars Charteris Centre between 10am to 4pm.
There will be a dinner and a ceilidh from 6pm (these tickets are sold separately).
Come along and enjoy classes and workshops as well as access support and learn about taking care of your mental health. This event is free and open to all students in Edinburgh across all universities, campuses, and colleges.
