New systems for viewing timetables and booking rooms launch

The way you book rooms for study and view your timetable is changing.

Shows a close up of students in a lecture theatre.

From 22 July you’ll have to use the new systems Booker and Timetabler, both of which will be available in the usual place on MyEd. You’ll need to log in with the UUN version of your University email address e.g. uun@ed.ac.uk.

They both offer a better experience, with a host of new features available.

Booker

New features include geolocation maps and photographs of rooms. These will show on your timetable for each entry, and you’ll be able to see them when you’re browsing for a room to book.

The system allows you to search all centrally managed rooms at once, see pictures of the layout, and filter by capacity, availability and room type. Any bookings you make will instantly be synced to your Outlook.

Timetabler

You can view your personal timetable as it’s populated, see course timetable information for academic year 2024/25, and access calendar views for individual rooms.

Connections to Outlook are improved, with personalised timetable information getting to your calendar faster.

Guidance

You can access video guidance for both systems on the Timetabling web pages.
