Rail travel disruption
Information for staff on strike action which will impact ScotRail services in July and August 2022.
There will be disruption to ScotRail services on Wednesday 27 July, and Thursday 18 and Saturday 20 August, as Network Rail Scotland signallers and maintenance staff will be on strike.
There will be significant impact on some staff travelling to and from the University. Very limited rail services will be running and advice from ScotRail is to only travel if necessary. If you must travel, you should expect disruption and check your entire journey before travelling.
We would encourage staff to make use of other forms of travel wherever possible.
Our Estates department has confirmed that car parking monitoring will be suspended for staff on Wednesday 27 July to provide more flexibility for staff travelling to our campuses. The position will be reviewed for future strike dates.
The most up to date information on the strike action can be found on the ScotRail website.
