Host an intern during summer 2018
Staff are invited to get involved with the Employ.ed on Campus summer internship programme.
The scheme – now in its seventh year – supports staff in providing students with meaningful paid work experience.
Fresh thinking

Last year, 100 per cent of the host managers said they would recommend the programme and 95 per cent felt that their intern brought fresh ideas, thinking and skills to their department.
The programme is also very popular with students. In 2017, the Careers Service received 621 applications and placed 49 students across the University.
Staff support
The Careers Service supports staff by helping finalise the project and intern job description.
It also advertises internships, shortlists applications and supports staff with the interview process.
An information event for host managers will be delivered on 9 May 2018.
The Careers Service also designs and runs a development programme for interns before, during and after their internship.
All welcome
All Departments and Schools are eligible to participate in Employ.ed on Campus, which is one of the Careers Service’s structured internship programmes.
The positions are fully funded by the individual department or School.
