Staff members get on their bikes
More than 230 staff members have signed up to a University cycling scheme.

The Bicycles+ initiative enables staff members to apply for loans for bikes and safety equipment.
Loans of up to £1,000 can be awarded to help Edinburgh employees cycle to work.
Bicycles+ is just one of three initiatives run by the University to promote cycling as a healthy and environmentally friendly way to travel.
Free commuter cycle training
Free courses providing a range of skills for commuting cyclists are available to staff.
The courses are delivered by four members of staff from the Centre for Sport and Exercise.
These individuals have been trained as accredited Cycling Scotland Instructors of the Commuter Cycle Training Course.
Details of courses will be announced on MyEd.
Bike maintenance courses
The University ran bike maintenance courses throughout August.
The courses were led by fully qualified instructors from the Bike Station.
The five two-hour sessions were fully booked.
“I think the Bicycles+ scheme has worked extremely well. I have appreciated being able to buy a bike, for both getting to work and leisure purposes, at relatively low cost, and being able to pay for it over a number of months.”
