Dr Ann Matheson honoured
The former Secretary of the General Council is to be honoured by a portrait.

The portrait of Dr Ann Matheson is to be painted by eminent Scottish Artist Victoria Crowe OBE.
The painting will be hung in Old College.
Eight years' service
Dr Matheson has retired from the post of Secretary.
A position she held for eight years.
Among her achievements, she initiated away-meetings of the Council so that it could reach a greater number of alumni.
Honorary degree
Dr Matheson’s contribution to the University has been recognised further with the award of a Doctorate Honoris Causa.
The University will present her with this honorary degree at the June 2010 meeting of the General Council in Hong Kong.
Dr Matheson’s successor is Dr Simon Cunningham.
