Festivals Office launches programme
The University’s Festivals Office has unveiled a new programme of events for the 2009 Fringe.

The programme includes musical theatre, dance, comedy and children’s performances.
One of this year’s highlights is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.
The show, from the acclaimed Beijing Film Academy, will be a highly visual mix of music, dance and martial arts.
It has been put together by some of the team who worked on the Beijing Olympics.
The Festivals Office has full details of all shows and venues.
Eclectic events

The popular George Square Gardens will continue to provide an eclectic programme of events.
The venue will be under the Underbelly banner for the first time.
This year the Fringe Performers Centre relocates to Appleton Tower, providing a hub for press, promoters and performers.
Shows will also be performed at the following venues:
- C Venues at Adam House
- Pleasance Theatre at Potterrow and Pleasance venues
- Gilded Balloon at Teviot Row
- Assembly Theatre at New College
- Underbelly at the Reid Hall and Bristo Square
