Pride month 2023
Events are taking place throughout June to mark Edinburgh Pride.

The Students’ Association and Staff Pride Network are running a series of events to mark Pride, a month-long national celebration which recognises LGBT+ communities and their history and culture.
Campus events
On 2 June, the University’s Staff Pride network, alongside LGBT+ Staff networks for NHS Lothian and the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, will celebrate the start of Pride month with a march and fair outside the Chancellor’s Building.
The Staff Pride Network and Edinburgh Race Equality Network will jointly host a book club event on 20 June to discuss 'Last Night at the Telegraph Club' by Malinda Lo and explore the significance of the novel in the context of LGBT+ and Asian American literature.
Other events taking place over the month include a wellbeing walk and bake sale, a podcast discussion on ‘Queer Neurodivergence and Synesthesia’, an LGBTQ+ service at the University’s Chaplaincy, and a comedic play exploring sexuality and gender.

Pride Edinburgh
The city-wide Edinburgh Pride will take place on Saturday 24 June with free events happening across the capital for Edinburgh’s wider community to get involved with.
The Pride march will begin from 12:30pm and participants will walk from the Scottish Parliament, finishing in the Pride Edinburgh Festival Village at the Students’ Association.
In advance of the march, students and staff are invited to take part in banner making sessions at Potterrow Dome on 22 June.
Later on Saturday 24 June, the Students' Association will be hosting the Pride Edinburgh Festival in Bristo Square, with a range of musical entertainment, DJ sets and performances.
