The UK Cystic Fibrosis Gene Therapy Consortium has recently completed a Phase 2 study of gene therapy for the treatment of cystic fibrosis. About half of the patients entered into this study came from Scotland and were treated at the Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility. The results will shortly be published and a summary of the research findings will be relayed to the CF community on Saturday 30th May. For further details see the UK CFGT website.
