I like taking photographs so during my free time I go to nice places or in the street to take photos. I am member of the Biology Society and it is a great opportunity to socialise with other students and build new connections. The sports union hold intramural league for different sports for casual players like me so I play football every week.

Why Edinburgh?
"Edinburgh is a very beautiful city well known for its amazing history and incredible architecture. I knew nothing about Edinburgh prior to my arrival, but I never regret coming here. There so much you can do. I love walking up the mountains and wander around the city because there so many new things to discover."
Academic Life
"As a Biological Sciences student, I love the fact that there are so many, specialised areas I could choose from. On top of that, the School of Biological Sciences offers a lot of flexibility in terms of picking my courses. This give me the opportunity to explore different aspects of biology and allow me to make an informed decision as to what honours degree I could choose in final year. I also appreciate the opportunity to take non-Biology courses. As such, I am able to take Business courses like Finance which I love very much. I like how Biological Sciences courses are structured. Tutorials and lectures are well integrated to allow me to fully understand new topics and concepts. Practicals are my favourite, they are always interactive and allows me to think and ponder about whatever I do. The learning process can sometimes be challenging, but I always know there is help if I ever needed it."
"Lectures are always amazing. As a non-native speaker, I appreciate that all my first and second year courses recorded the lectures so I can always watch it over and over to fully understand it. This is also a powerful tool for revision. I always have the lecture materials before each lecture. This allows me to prepare well beforehand. Tutorials are very interactive and the questions give me the chance to read and think beyond what I already know to learn new techniques and concepts. Tutors are always happy to help me if I am stuck or find it hard to understand what the question is asking."

"Everything l need is at King's. The Library is usually a great spot to study and it also has a cafe which is awesome. There are so many other purposely built study spots with cafes and computers. I often go to Murchison House because there is always space available. If you need a place to sit, relax and have lunch with your friends then I recommend KB House (The Students' Union). It has restaurants, self-service microwaves and game tables, the perfect place for my lunch break."
Top tips
"My advice for you is, always try to stay on top of your course work. It saves you from a lot of stress and gives you time to do other things like society commitments. University life can be challenging at the start, but there are a lot of resources to help you settle."
"Fun fact! The weather in Edinburgh can be very tricky but if you get yourself an umbrella or rain coat always in your bag then you are good to go."
