Information about field work in Murewa.

The Murewa (also known as Murehwa or Mrewa) district is located about 100 km northeast of Harare (Zimbabwe) in a rual area. Murewa city is the district capital and about 1200 m above sea level.

Our sudies there are implemented in five villages/schools:

• Magaya
• Chipinda
• Chitate
• Chingwaru 
• Chingono

The primary schools, which act also the central meeting place of the village, provides a basis for recruitment of participants and collection of samples. Samples are processed in Murewa district hospital.
