Short Biography
Lorraine Tsitsi Pfavayi is a Postdoctoral fellow co-funded by the University of Pretoria and the University of Edinburgh. She holds a DPhil in Clinical Medicine from the University of Oxford and is interested in developing context-relevant diagnostics and therapeutics for diseases often overlooked in low- and middle-income countries. Her current work involves identifying antigens for use in a multiplex NTD diagnostic tool in Zimbabwe with the aim of developing an affordable point-of-care diagnostic test and an integrated surveillance approach for NTDs in the country.
