Background
Zachary started an EASTBIO PhD studentship at the Roslin Institute in 2024. He is interested in chicken primordial germ cell development and developing new technologies for avian systems. His current project is focused on adapting tag-based protein degradation systems to the chicken. These systems will be used to tag proteins thought to be involved in primordial germ cell migration based on single cell RNA-sequencing results to better understand the role of these proteins.
