Background

Yana Proskurkina is a Ukrainian Teaching Fellow, as well as the Course Organiser for Ukrainian.

She joined the Languages for All team in 2023. She has extensive experience in language teaching and curriculum development.

She holds a Master’s degree in Ukrainian Language and Literature. Prior to joining the Centre for Open Learning, Yana was a lecturer in Ukrainian / Russian languages at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv where she worked in a culturally diverse environment with international students.

Her thesis “The pre-professional training system of foreign applicants for study at medical universities” analyzed the structural content model of the pre-professional training of foreign applicants.
