Biography

Background

Virginia is Marketing and Communications Officer at the Centre for Tropical Livestock Genetics and Health (CTLGH) at the Roslin Institute. She was previously Communications and Knowledge Exchange Executive at Scottish Carbon Capture and Storage and a Communications Officer at ClimateXChange, the Scottish Government's centre of excellence for climate change, both in the School of GeoSciences.

She started her career in journalism, working for Reuters, The Economist and the Financial Times, mainly as a foreign correspondent in Eastern Europe and Australasia. She has also worked in India for the Global Fund against Aids, TB and Malaria.
