Background

Prior to Terence's PhD studies in systematic theology at the School of Divinity, he earned a ThM degree at the Princeton Theological Seminary, NJ (2019) and a MDiv degree at the China Evangelical Seminary, Taipei (2018). He also holds an undergraduate degree in biochemistry (BSc) at the Imperial College London before earning a postgraduate degree in Medical Science (MMedSc) at the University of Hong Kong.

His thesis primarily focuses on the studies of the Dutch Reformed theologian Herman Bavinck (1854–1921) and neo-Calvinism. Other research interests include Reformed theology, especially post-reformation Reformed orthodoxy, Reformed confessionalism, the movement of puritans and of Nadere Reformatie, and the studies in modern theology.

He was originally from Hong Kong but has also been living in the UK, US, Taiwan for quite some years. He speaks, reads, and writes English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He has helped coordinate the undergraduate online program and taught as a teacher assistant in the China Reformed Theological Seminary, Taipei from 2019-2020.
