Background
Suzanne graduated from Utrecht University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the Netherlands in 2016, having completed a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine. Following a one year rotating internship, she worked as a veterinarian in Small Animal Oncology at Massey University in New Zealand. Suzanne undertook her specialist training in Small Animal Oncology in the R(D)SVS Hospital for Small Animals, and completed the residency and certifying examination in March 2024. She continues to work at the Hospital for Small Animals as a lecturer in Small Animal Oncology.
Her main interests include novel cancer diagnostic options (such as liquid biopsy techniques), the effects of chemotherapy and how to best promote good quality of life for her patients.
