Background
Dr. Shashank Mishra obtained his PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Glasgow in 2024. During this time, he also served as Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher in EU sponsored INTUITIVE ITN project. His doctoral research focused on biomimicking human tactile sensation through flexible sensors. He previously completed a dual degree (B.Tech. & M.Tech.) in Metallurgical Engineering in 2016. From 2016 to 2024, he worked as a Scientist at TCS Research, leading projects in computational materials science and secured multiple patents for the company. With expertise in atomistic and continuum-level materials modeling, his research interests span flexible sensors, computational materials science, and atomistic modeling. In his new role at the APRIL Hub (Pillar 1), he will focus on accelerating materials discovery for the electronics industry using AI and advanced simulation techniques.
