Scott Hunter (MFA Contemporary Art Practice)

Teaching Fellow (Photography)

Background

I am an environmental artist with an MFA in Contemporary Art Practice from the Edinburgh College of Art. My work explores the impact of industrial activities on landscapes, combining photography, scientific processes, and ecological research.

My creative practice extends to sculpture and installation, pushing the boundaries of photographic representation. I have a growing international reputation, with exhibitions at Saatchi Gallery, Summerhall, and Kyotographie KG+. Additionally, I co-founded the SYNTHESIS exchange programme, fostering innovative photography collaborations between Scotland and Japan.

My educational contributions include workshops and teaching roles with Street Level Photoworks, Redeye The Photography Network, Stirling Photography Festival, and Mt Rokko International Photo Festival.
