Background
Ruby is a part time PhD student in Law. Her research provides an intersectional analysis of mental capacity law in England and Wales.
She is an Online Postgraduate Tutor for the Health Medical Law and Ethics subject area. She also guest lectures on courses in this subject area, and supervises dissertations at LLB and LLM level. She has acted as a Research Associate for a variety of projects in the broad field of health, medical law and bioethics. Recent projects include:
- Legal Transplants and Policy Transfers: Legislating for Organ Donation in a Devolved UK
- UK-REACH: United Kingdom Research study into Ethnicity And Covid-19 outcomes in Helthcare workers
Qualifications
Ruby holds a Bachelor of Laws in Law and French Law (First Class Honours) from University College London, and a Master of Laws in Medical Law and Ethics (Distinction) from the University of Edinburgh. Ruby also holds a Diploma in French Law (Distinction) from Aix-Marseille Université.
Responsibilities & affiliations
Ruby is a Deputy Director of the Executive Committee of the Mason Institute for Medicine, Life Sciences and the Law, and a member of the Centre for Bioethics, Self and Society.
