Research summary
My laboratory-based research uses genetic analysis of malaria parasites to investigate the biology, and especially immunity, of malaria. Our investigations use classical genetic cross hybridisation between malaria parasites combined with genomic and molecular genetic analysis to investigate the targets of protective immunity in malaria and the genetic determinants of parasite growth in their hosts.
