Biography

Background

I moved to Edinburgh from Volos (Greece) to study at the University of Edinburgh. While studying, I developed a fascination with library, research and academic support. That was furthered when I won a scholarship to research the Federal Theatre Project (FTP) theatrical archives in Washington DC and New York. After completing my PhD, I taught Contemporary Drama for a few years in Edinburgh, Greece and Cyprus whilst also developing my academic library skills.

For the past 3 years, I am primarily focused on my library academic support role as a permanent member of the Library Academic Support Team (although I still teach Modern Drama for European Universities through online/distance learning)). I am currently running a monthly Shut Up and Write workshop, offer 1:2:1 student appointments, participate in the Dissertation Festival and Open Day events and support the information skills teaching in ECA.

I am also currently preparing a new workshop to complement the Shut Up and Write provision, a student focus group for evaluating the library's services and toying with some more research ideas on race and drama.
