Structural Chemistry and Chemical Dynamics, Functional Materials

Research Overview

Fundamental experimental studies of fullerene spectroscopy and dynamics;  manipulation of low dimensional nanomaterials, fabrication and characterisation of nanoelectromechanical systems, carbon capture properties of functionalized meso- and macro-porous carbon materials.

Current research interests

STM manipulation of fullerenes, role of fullerenes in astrochemistry, nanoelectromechanical devices.

Past research interests

Laser ablation, LIFT, porous carbon materials for CO2 capture, controlled growth of carbon nanotubes, alignment and orientation in atomic collisions.
