Background
Priyambada Seal is a PhD candidate at The University of Edinburgh. Her topic is the Impact of climate change on school education: Perspectives and voices of Adivasi adolescent girls in India. She is interested in decolonial feminist methodology and collaborative research with young people.
Priyambada is an activist researcher with 13 years of experience in youth engagement, education, gender equity, local governance, and climate change. She has collaborated with several international non-governmental organisations such as UNICEF, UN Women, and Restless Development. Her previous degree was from the Institute of Development Studies, UK where she studied an MA in Governance, Development and Public Policy. She received the Chevening scholarship from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. She has extensive experience advocating with various government departments to promote inclusive policies for children and young people.
