Areas of interest for supervision
I am interested in supervising topics relating to media and information literacies, informal learning and public pedagogy in digital contexts, digital cultural heritage, and time studies. I am mainly interested in higher education or informal education settings, all in a digital context.
Research summary
Philippa's research interests are interdisciplinary, based in the area of digital and higher education, but drawing on organisational theory, cultural geography, and social theories of time. Her current interests include media and information literacies (and how platforms shape information), and digital cultural heritage (digital volunteering and infrastructure). Her teaching focuses on qualitative research methods, and on media and information literacies in digital education, and she is interested in contributing to (and supervising) research projects in this area.
