Building & Resources Officer

Background

Specialising in the fields of brand design and photography for 20 years, Peter has launched a number of business startups and helped others achieve the same. After photographing circa 300 weddings he moved into Building Surveying, Contracts Management and now as Building and Resources Officer for School of Divinity.

Peter is a hyperreal artist, content creator, and drone surveyor to the construction and property industries.

His client base currently spans 17 countries, with Peter's original artworks displayed in galleries and museums in Scotland.

Peter is a founding committee member of Young Lothian Masons, with direction from The Grand Master Mason of Antient, Free and Accepted Masons of Scotland and the Lord Lyon King of Arms. Peter created and designed the YLM brand identity, the Wayfinder concept, Amanuensis guide, and is the architect behind the content creation and social presence.

Responsibilities & affiliations

Peter oversees the facilities, building fabric and contents at New College. This includes involvement in mid to long term design projects and repairs.

Working closely with the DoPS and divisions within Central Estates, Peter is responsible for the management of building works, reactive maintenance, and overseeing PPM, Fire Safety, Risk Assessments and H&S at School of Divinity.

Peter's duties include Timetabling and Bookings for Academics and the Marketing and Events team.

Peter's commercial wedding photography was a regular feature in the Edinburgh Evening News, 2009-11.

A member of the Royal Photographic Society he was published in Brides Magazine, numerous industry articles and feature blogs.
