Mr Zayne Thomson

BSL Language Teaching Fellow @COL

Background

I am a fully qualified teacher specializing in British Sign Language instruction and currently undergoing training to become a BSL/English translator. With 10 years of experience in teaching BSL, it is my enduring passion.

My teaching background extends to Key Stage 3 History and KS4 Religious Education at a Secondary School for the Deaf. I enthusiastically support my Deaf learners, offering extra assistance in various subjects, particularly History and RE, although I am equally willing to assist in other areas.

Having endured many dull lessons during my own education, I am committed to ensuring my learners never face the same boredom. This is one of the driving forces behind my decision to become a teacher. I bring a vibrant, creative, and engaging approach to teaching, infused with my zany personality. I adore incorporating games and activities into lessons to reignite your love for learning!
