Background
Chris graduated from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 2005. He began working in a mixed practice initially but spent most of his time working in their Equine site before moving to a solely Equine dedicated practice and hospital in 2007.
Chris started his position as a Lecturer in Equine Practice at the Dick Vet in 2015.
His role is within the ambulatory team, treating patients for his clients at their own premises but also at the hospital when required. In this role he carries out a wide range of work from routine health care to emergency medicine.
Chris is involved in various teaching commitments from first year vet students through to final year vet students, in lectures and tutorials on campus as well as the hands on shadowing by final year students out on calls with him.
Chris also assists students as a personal tutor, is involved in practical examinations and does various outreach work with local and national equestrian academies.
Chris has also achieved his Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
