Background
Ben Mlambo is a multidisciplinary sustainability expert, chemical engineer, and entrepreneur whose career bridges climate change, asset management, and technology. She is currently pursuing advanced research in the History of Environmental Law as National Security at the University of Edinburgh Law School, building on her academic foundation in sustainable engineering and finance.
Her professional journey began in chemical manufacturing, where she focused on developing eco-friendly pharmaceutical production processes, and sustainable chemical engineering design. She later transitioned to the energy sector, working as an Oil and Gas Supply Chain Manager, and subsequently advanced into compliance roles in Investment banking and finance, gaining experience in regulatory frameworks and financial governance.
Ben’s entrepreneurial vision led her to establish a venture connecting climate-resilient infrastructure projects, such as flood & drought proof solutions with impact-driven investors and climate-focused suppliers. She also serves as an ambassador for the National Oceanographic Centre, promoting climate adaptation strategies and advocating for the conservation of ocean ecosystems.
