Thesis title: Winter respiratory disease risk prediction in adults

Background

First-year PhD student in the Precision Medicine Doctoral Training Program (DTP) at the University of Edinburgh, with co-supervision at the University of Glasgow.

Qualifications

BSc (Hons) Biochemistry with Professional Placement, University of Bath (2023)

MSc Applied Data Science (Environment and Sustainability), University of Exeter, Penryn (2024)

Research summary

Environmental factors such as air pollution and climate can have an impact on winter respiratory disease (WRD) outcomes. Incorporating these factors into machine learning models for WRD risk prediction in adults could help identify individuals at risk and inform future strategies for WRD prevention.
