Background
Mel joined the Research Office in 2007 having previously worked as a clerical assistant at the Human Communication Research Centre in the School of Informatics.
As Research Support Senior Administrator, Mel provides in-depth knowledge and support to academic and reseach colleagues who are wanting to apply for external funding.
She is the main contact in the office for the departments of Philosophy and LEL, as well as for Postdoctoral Fellowship and early career researcher applications.
Mel also provides post- award support to help PI's set up and manage their grants, produces quarterly and annual reports for senior management, and deputises for the Head of Research Support.
