Maria Hogg
Background
Maria holds an undergraduate degree in Primary Education with Sports Science from St Mary's University, Twickenham, awarded in 2003. Following two decades of teaching experience across London and Edinburgh, she completed her MSc Education in Child and Adolescent Psychology at Moray House School of Education and Sport.
Maria is currently undertaking an MRS funded PhD studentship project within the field of Clinical Brain Sciences under the supervision of Professor Sinead Rhodes and Professor Aja Murray. As part of this project, Maria will also work with the external partner organisation EPIC Think Learn and Dr Iona Beange. The project aims to co-produce the development of an intervention to help support emotion regulation difficulties of children with neurodevelopmental conditions.
Research summary
Maria's research focuses on mental health and wellbeing, particularly among teachers, children and young people.
