Background

Marcus is a postdoctoral research associate within the lab or Prof. Susan Rosser. His current focus is on the development of RNA therapeutics with an oncology focus, and intracellular control mechanisms for their targeted delivery and transcription levels. Marcus has also developed alternative in vitro RNA production methodologies, characterising the RNA polymerase KP32. Marcus is passionate about developing the next generation of therapeutics, and in strengthening the Scottish bioeconomy!

Prior to this role, Marcus contributed to the developed of the CRISPR toolbox available for use within Bacillus subtilis as his PhD project. He also worked during, and prior, to his PhD with Ingenza Ltd, working on various, high paced customer projects.
