Biography

Background

I am a development economist studying social protection, mental health, resilience to climate shocks, and risk and insurance. As a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Jameel Observatory, based at the University of Edinburgh, I work on issues at the intersection of drought, insurance, and conflict in the Horn of Africa. I hold a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis and a BA in Economics-Mathematics from Columbia University.
