Research summary

My interest in social neuroscience peaked during the COVID pandemic, which highlighted how positive connections between people can increase resilience. Since then, my research has focused on socioemotional development in the first year of life. My thesis integrated behavioural, cognitive and neuroimaging methods to investigate the development of attachment relationships in preterm infants. I then worked as a postdoctoral research fellow with Dr. Hilary Richardson (School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences), investigating social factors that predict the maturation of face-selective brain regions during childhood.

Current research interests

Attachment; infancy; development of functionally specialised brain regions; bidirectional effects between socioemotional and brain development.
