Lauren Ng

Academic Fellow in General Practice

Background

Dr. Lauren Ng is a General Practitioner and Academic Fellow in General Practice, having previously served as a SCREDS Clinical Lecturer in General Practice and Primary Care. 

Her research interests centre on health equity and social determinants of health in community and primary care settings, with experience in complex interventions and mixed-methods research. Her work has explored:

  • Homelessness
  • Socioeconomic Deprivation
  • Refugee Health
  • Unaccompanied Children
  • Armed Conflict

Prior to joining the University, she worked with third-sector and academic human rights organisations, and co-founded initiatives supporting refugee care and integration. She holds a MA in Theory and Practice of Human Rights from the University of Essex.
