Background
Laura studied and taught English Literature before starting to work in community engagement. In her current role as Engagement Officer (Communities) for Heritage Collections, her remit is to engage underserved communities with our collections for the purposes of creating positive social impact. At the moment, her work focuses on a few key areas: working with young people from widening participation backgrounds via Arts Award programmes, delivering learning programmes in prisons, and supporting people who face barriers to employment to gain necessary experience to return to the workplace.
