Thesis title: The role of mentalization and emotional regulation in risk and protective factors among community and clinical samples of young people

Background

I earned a BS in Psychology from the Universidad Internacional del Ecuador (UIDE) in 2017. After this, I worked as an accredited Psychologist in Ecuador with children and adults using evidence-based intervention. I contributed in research projects during my undergraduate studies, and later on, I continued being involved in research as an independent researcher.

In 2020, I moved to Edinburgh and, the following year, I received a MSc in Psychological Research (Supervisor: Dr Hilary Richardson) from the School of Philosophy, Psychology, and Languages Sciences. Currently, I am a PhD Candidate in Clinical Psychology working alongside the IMMERSE project, an interdisciplinary group of researchers implementing Mobile Mental health intervention across 4 countries in Europe. My research project focus on the role of  mentalization and emotion regulation in risk and protective factors in clinical and non-clinical samples of young people.
