Biography

Background

Jessica Brough is a second-year PhD student at the University of Edinburgh researching social effects on language production and language biases. Jess is currently interested in how speakers describe dyadic interactions and the ways in which the dyad's and the speaker's own identity (e.g. their gender, race) may influence this type of production. Jess is supervised by Dr Hugh Rabagliati, Prof Holly Branigan and Dr Lasana Harris (UCL).
