Background
I'm a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Edinburgh. My research focuses on child behavioural and emotional problems, including the biosocial aetiology of these problems, and their implications for outcomes across the life-course, including educational and economic attainment and health. My work integrates theory and methods from developmental science, psychopathology, behaviour genetics and family studies. Before joining the University of Edinburgh, I was a postdoctoral fellow at Duke University, NC, USA. I completed my PhD in Developmental Psychopathology at King's College London and my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Berlin Humboldt University and Bielefeld University in Germany, where I'm originally from.
