Background
Jan Grobovšek completed his undergraduate studies at Université Paris Dauphine and obtained his PhD in Economics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
His research area is macroeconomics with a particular focus on economic growth and development. His research focus is on structural transformation and factors behind cross-country productivity differences, in particular the allocation of workers across firms, sectors, and occupations.

He also received BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grant for the project “Are Frictions at Labor Market Entry More Severe in Low-Income Countries? Cross-Country Evidence from Job Duration.” Date: April 2019 - March 2020. Value: GBP 9,152.
