Background

My background is in high performance sport having coached at Leicester Tigers for 7 years, leaving the role of academy head coach in 2018. I continue to work as a coach developer with a portfolio of work across Olympic sport, professional football and rugby. Prior to working in performance sport I was a teacher for 8 years.

A feature of my work is as a pracademic, trying to be at the cutting edge of evidence informed practice. My academic route was non-traditional having completed a BA in History at the University of Birmingham, before returning to study to complete a PhD at Moray House. The focus of my research is in field of coaching and talent development.
