Background
I studied my BA in Archaeology at Complutense University, in Spain, where I became interested in issues of identity during Late Prehistory. In order to better understand identity and personhood, I went to Brunel University, in London, to study a MSc in Psychological and Psychiatric Anthropology. With this combination of archaeological and anthropological perspectives, I am currently doing a PhD in Edinburgh, with funding from "La Caixa European Postgraduate Scholarship".
Apart from my PhD, I am also interested in studying Archaeology's disciplinary practices, and in particular issues related with emotions and gender during archaeological fieldwork.

Research summary
My main area of research is late prehistoric identity. My PhD thesis aims to study personhood through the analysis of funerary evidence during the Chalcolithic and Bronze Age in Southeast Spain. I am also interested in the ethnography of archaeological fieldwork, and in particular in how emotions and gender affect those involved in fieldwork.
