Biography

Background

Prior to joining the Web Team in early 2013, Gavin was a consultant to Northumbria University, UK Centre for Legal Education (UKCLE), University of New Hampshire, University of Strathclyde, National Skills Academy for Social Care, and the Legal Education and Training Review (LETR). Before this, he worked as a Software Developer in the School of Law at the University of Strathclyde. He has also worked for software and design consultancies servicing the public and private sectors.

He has been writing code for a living since 2003, primarily using open source technologies, and seeks to maximise the effectiveness of web applications by keeping up-to-date with the latest design and development techniques, and studying the heuristics of usable interfaces.
