Nestled in the foothills of the Bannau Brycheiniog,  Gareth currently divides his working life between lecturing full-time in Religious Studies and Philosophy at Coleg Gwent, Wales,  and completing a part-time distance PhD with the University of Edinburgh.

Research summary

Gareth's current research focuses on the extent to which belief in God can be reconciled with mass-extinction events. 

Forthcoming article: 'De-extinction: Dead as the dodo?' Theology (2025).

Gareth has also helped to produce educational resources for The Christian Ethics of Farmed Animal Welfare (CEFAW). These will be published early in 2025 along with a companion piece in RE Today.
