Biography

Background

Fasil is an animal geneticist with many years of  experience in Africa and Southeast Asia. Before joining the University of Edinburgh, he worked at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI)-OneCGIAR and Wageningen University and Research (WUR). The focus of his current project is on improving the responses of African chickens to environmental challenges by integrating genomic, phenotypic and ecological information.
